Bad Seed and Nottz are back with a collaborative album called No Way In Hell and the first single Sunday Morning ft DJ Total Eclipse has just hit the airwaves.

Bad Seed first teamed up with Nottz  to produce two Hip Hop classics in 1999 “For the Kids” and “Uhhnnh”, both of which did incredible sales for indie releases, the latter making it to Funk Flex 60 Minutes of Funk Vol IV: The Mixtape. After signing to a major (Warner) that then shelved their entire Hip Hop roster, Seed was sour to the industry for awhile, but released several notable independent albums over the years, remaining so-called “underground“, although some records such as Yankee Fitted featuring Mims and Talib Kweli off the album Intelligently Ignant, bubbled up slightly into the mainstream consciousness.

In 2016, Seed dropped Coreyography, which was set to be his last album, his farewell tour. After trying some acting, writing and directing, I think Seed was done with rap, perhaps feeling there was no way in hell he was going to drop another album. But the lead single “Belt Off” reunited Corey with Nottz and the results were amazing (video). The rekindling of their professional relationship led to this new producer/MC project No Way in Hell by SEED X NOTTZ.

For those unfamiliar with the Grammy Award winning producer’s work, Nottz has produced tracks for Busta Rhymes, the Notorious B.I.G, Fat Joe, Rah Digga, M.O.P, Exhibit, Snoop Dogg, Scarface, 50 Cent Method Man, Ghostface, Drake and Ne-yo just to name a few. He also works with more independent artists such as Krumbsnatcha, Apathy, Evidence and Sean Price. For his full discography, go here.

The first single off the project is “Sunday Morning” available now on Bandcamp. The Bad Seed hasn’t lost a step and Nottz beats are always bangin’ so we know this album is going to be tough!!

Let us know what you think of the track and the video and let us know, are you as amped as we are to hear this Seed X Nottz project? Also, what is your favorite Bad Seed or Nottz record? See you in the comments. Enjoy.
