By now you have most likely heard POUND CAKE, Drake’s single featuring Jay Z all over the radio, in the clubs, etc. If you listen to mix tapes, underground, independent or SiriusXM stations you probably have also heard The L.O.X over the same beat on their HOOD CAKE Freestyle. I liked the original when I first heard it, but I personally believe The L.O.X bodied the track incredibly, leaving me with no further interest in hearing Drake or Jay on the song anymore. But I can listen to the HOOD CAKE version all day and not get tired of it.
But some of my colleagues over here at MCMIreport.com don’t agree. They say either the original holds up well and liek both tracks equally or they think that the original still holds reign, either for Drake’s contribution, Jay’s verse or both.
What do you think? Both tracks can be found after the jump, so you can listen before you cast your vote.
