MOS DEF, PETE ROCK & Q-TIP at Fort Greene Fest Kick Off Party

Gotta thank JenFreakinDiaz over at Frank151 for the excellent recap and photos of the Fort Greene Fest Kick Off Party at Sanders Studio in Brooklyn. For those who don’t know, the Fort Green Festivalpresents “The Art, Soul and Future of Brooklyn” every summer in historic Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn NY. It is a celebration of “cultures, cuisines and artistic diversity” and this year will be headlined by MOS DEF, along with RES, MEDINA GREENE, GAME REBELLION, NAVEGANTE and many other fine artists.

The party was crazy, as you would imagine, with hip hop icons Q-Tip the Abstract and Pete Rock going back and forth on the wheels, plus special guest MOS DEF on the mic! Wow. If you missed it, the Festival is June 25th in Ft Greene Park and I have inside information that there will be more parties leading up to the spectacular main event, so stay tuned and check our events calendar for updates.
