Mos Def changes name to Yasiin Bey (New Black Star song)

Black Star premiered this new song on Colbert Report. In the interview, Mos drops the bomb that he has changed his name and will no longer use “Mos Def” as his professional name. He says it’s his “nom de plum”. The duo rocked their brand new “Fix Up” and a previous collaboration “Astronomy (8th Sign)” after the interview. Here is the performance, followed by the interview.
