BJ The Chicago Kid – “His Pain” (Feat. Kendrick Lamar)

This is a real gem. Jazz piano, heart-wrenching lyrics, soulful melodies in a minor key. This song is the epitome of the Blues, just in a 16 bar rap lyric format. No drums for most of the track and when they do drop towards the end (for only 4 bars!) it’s ecstatic. This is the type of genre bending Hip Hop that will take us into the new era. Thank you Kendrick. Thank you Chicago Kid.
