This is such a short interview, but Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith of EPMD drop gems on how they got their first record deal, made loops by splicing tape (do kids even know what “tape” is at this point?) before samplers and the most important thing in Hip Hop – or any artform – is to “be original”.
