A Band, A Movement, A Musical Journey, An Experience
A PLACE is the 1st single off of the debut album LEVELS, which is also the name of the band, lead by frontman Keith “WildChild” Middleton, along with Aaron Marcellus on vocals, guitarist Luca “Mack” Marcias, Jacopo “Snow” Mazza on Keyboards. The group is international, one from NY, one from Atlanta and two from Italy and have been performing on stages in Europe, Japan and the US, the past couple of years, writing, performing and testing out songs for this album. The four artists – all on different musical paths, from Rock to Funk, to Hip Hop, to R&B, to Jazz and Classical – have arrived at the same destination – LEVELS!
A PLACE, seems at first a simple love song “There’s no place that I would rather be … right here with you, my dear, beside me…” but it actually is a more complex and textured interpretation of Adam and Eve as our common ancestor, what binds all mankind in love and unity. Delving into the multi dynamic layers of Love, the international super group, LEVELS, explore the musical nuances of Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, Jazz, Pop, R&B, Funk, Afrobeat, and Latin genres. These diverse styles help to fully articulate the time traveling journey of Adam as he searches for his soulmate Eve after being exiled from paradise.
Keith explains “They say the legend of Adam and Eve is written in the stars. If you look closely, you may notice the two were cast out of paradise as punishment for eating an apple from the Forbidden Tree of Truth. Now both mortal, Adam vows to Eve that he will always find her in their next lives. A secret he learned from his one bite of the apple. In present day, it is written that Adam will find Eve at one of his shows with his band LEVELS.”
This album is the journey that we all share, reflecting life as Adam or Eve. The concept of belief in true love, faith you will find it, the pursuit of happiness the struggle of adversity subsequent loss and sometimes, satisfying triumph. Life is full of diversity and dynamics, and so is this album. A PLACE is your first taste of the Apple of Truth that is on its way.

Chordz Cordero is a Jamaica Queens artist that has been perfecting his skills as an emcee, singer, producer, and musician since a child. He has collaborated with artists such as St. Joe Louis, Brokn.Englsh, Daniel Joseph, Swave Sevah, PH and GMS, to name a few. A few years ago, a chance encounter with PH led to some musical collaborations with MCMI.
“I met PH at a Jean Grae concert at Highline Ballroom a few years back, when he was performing with his former group Brooklyn Academy. After a few chats we got together to do some tracks for both of our projects.“ – Chordz
PH introduced Chordz to GMS and Blitzkrieg, co-founders of MCMI Records. Hearing great talent and potential, they decided to work with Chordz to release some music. Chordz’ first work on the indie label was a collaboration with GMS, who laid the musical foundations for the song FREEDOM: How We Get.
The song is an ode to personal spiritual freedom, with production by GMS and vocals by Cordero. Besides making the beat, GMS plays flute on the track, while Chordz takes ’em to church with his original heartfelt lyrics about struggle, perseverance and redemption. Released digitally on January 15th, 2012, just in time for freedom fighter Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, the song was very well received all over the world, getting airplay as far away as South Africa, where some producers put out an unofficial, unauthorized dance remix of the record. An official dance remake of the song is in the works and will appear on an upcoming project.
After Freedom, Chordz dropped a project with label mate PH (“This Is Not a Tyler Perry Movie“) and an EP with DC producer JUDAH (“Catalyst: [E]volution (EP)“), on DubMD Promotions. The two projects received a flood of positive feedback from the blogosphere and have expanded Chordz audience, doing well throughout Spain, Germany, Australia, Japan, the UK and the United States.
In 2015, Chordz dropped “The HIGHBRED LP“, a collaboration with fellow MC Sir Manley and producer Boonie Mayfield, on MCMI Records. He is available for collabs and choruses and will be putting out more music soon.
So ya boy Bad Seed -aka- NiggalisCage has started something the world of Hip Hop radio was definitely missing: An “Adult Contemporary Hip Hop & RnB” radio show. What does that mean? Well, right now mainstream urban radio is super youth driven. You mostly hear everything marketed to 11 to 19 year olds. Then you have a few underground radio stations and shows and those tend to play brand new independent artists and nothing else.
So what’s missing? How about old school and new music that grown folks like to listen to? Some of it might be “underground” but a lot of it will be mainstream as well. Some songs appeal to adults as well as young kids, but let’s face it – most of us are pretty tired of hearing the same 7 songs on repeat all day, with mostly immature content, nothing grown and sexy, no classics, no positivity, etc.
So where can you go to hear that good-good? Welcome to 6th Man Radio! The show lives on GetYourzWorld.com
This episode is sort of a pilot, a test run to iron out the kinks. It should hold you for now and then starting in March the show will air every Saturday, 7:30 to 9:30pm. The premise and format of the show is : ADULT CONTEMPORARY HIP HOP/OLD SCHOOL R&B/ AND 80’S ERA MTV MUSIC. Seed has a co-host, the lovely Nadine Michel and two special guests, MIMS and JEAN GRAE call in the show for this first episode.
