Produced by MCMIreport.com, this episode sees the intoxicated giant reppin’ the hood (NA ROCK) along with fellow Brooklynite(CONEY ISLAND). Pen is heavily lifted (all puns intended, lol), as usual. With Blitzkrieg supplying the drinks. Torae is toasted and now you know what “getting drunk with Poison Pen” is all about. The man drinks. A lot. You go toe to toe with him, you may survive, but you will say some hilarious shit on camera, for all of our amusement. Torae is a good sport. We all had a blast that night.
Shout out to Forbidden City, which closed down for awhile and reopened as the new and improved “FAT BHUDDA”. Some paint, a new menu, same chef, but new menu, a real DJ booth (no more turntables on the bar!) and a nice sound system – the place rocks. Check it out on a Saturday night. Order the duck, the ribs or the honey ginger wings (kitchen open late). Tell them GMS sent you. (It wont get you anything but a weird look, lol, but represent, fam!).
The Plague is a crew of Hip Hop artists, formed in the late 90’s, whose membership has changed over the years. Current membership is GMS (co-founder), LR Blitzkrieg (co-founder), WildChild (co-founder), PH (co-founder), DJDP ONE, PackFM, MrMecc, Tonedeff, Session, Substantial, Bad Seed,ArchRival and Poison Pen. Most of the Plague got their start battling and performing on the NY underground Hip Hop music. Although they have never released an official album together, they released two self-titled mixtapes in the early 2000’s and the crew is featured on individual members projects.
The Plague recently suffered the loss of one of their founders, PH aka Pumpkinhead aka Robert Diaz, who passed away due to medical complications on June 9th, 2015. PH was loved throughout the underground hip hop community, the battle rap scene and by friends and fans throughout he world. His passing was reported by major news and music outlets, including CNN, TIME, RollingStone, Billboard, Pix11, NYDailyNews, MTV, BET and every Hip Hop and battle rap website. #RIPPH was a trending topic on Facebook & Twitter in the following 24hours. Here are eulogies from MCMI & QN5.
The crew is currently working on a PH Tribute EP/Album to be released jointly through all of their labels and promoted by the entire collective, proceeds of which will be a future revenue stream for PH’s family. Saddened by the loss, the crew is nonetheless inspired and motivated to produce the best work possible, in the name of their fallen brother in arms.
