Interesting… a lot of behind the scenes politics being hinted at. The lyrics to this one could actually be MCMI’s mission statement, I love it!
Give it to the needy – he who appreciates, know it’s ‘nother hustle, but you gotta have some type of love for this culture that I grew up to, must have somethin’ for the folks who appreciate vocals, stead of them duds that make em roast you
FT from Street Smartz came out with Metal Thangz in 1996.  We cherished that joint for years, both for O.C.‘s and Pharoahe Monch’s collabo and for the promising newer artist FT, who’s bars were crazy, plus he had a co-sign from two already established giants. I still have the vinyl. All 3 verses on the original could get a hip hop quotable, in my opinion.
I don’t know about the new one yet, I just listened to it once and now I’m throwing it up here. I’ll let you all decide.
