Check out this classic interview of Das EFX put up by AlohaServedDaily. The duo talk about what they felt about a lot of other groups coming out with a similar style to theirs after they dropped their first few records. Das  EFX definitely were innovators. They are one of my favorite groups of all times. Enjoy.
One of the most creative rap artists around, Das Efx is the dawn of a new age in rap music…. Includes three clips for “They Want Efx,” “Mic Checka,” and “Straight Out the Sewer.” Also included are never before seen interviews with Dray and Skoob.
I don’t know who leaked this, or if they put it up as a teaser to get you to see the film, but I have to give credit to 2DopeBoyz for putting me on to it, so shouts to them. I know Q-Tip didn’t support the documentary for some reason, but I can’t help it. I am such a Quest fan, I have to see this. If there’s something wrong with it, I’d love to read about it, get Q-Tip’s perspective. But I have to watch the film. That much is a no-brainer.
“Beats, Rhymes & Life, the feature directorial debut of acclaimed actor Michael Rapaport, documents the inner workings and behind-the-scenes drama that follow the band even today and explores what’s next for a group many claim are the pioneers of alternative rap. Rapaport’s passion for his subjects allows them to open up to the camera, resulting in a remarkably honest, emotional portrait that does justice to this seminal band.”
* NOTE: The Trailer was taken down, but here is an emotional Phife explaining his reaction to seeing the film at Sundance. We will put up links to the Film or Trailer when they become available. – MCMI
