MCMI REPORT: M-Dot – “123 Flow” [360° Interactive Video] (Must Watch!)

M-Dot – “123 Flow”

M-Dot - "123 Flow"Boston artist M-Dot , drops his new video “1 2 3 Flow” in preparation for the 2016 release of the anticipated debut double LP “Ego & The Enemy,” on Own Lane Music.

This is one of the first EVER interactive 360° music videos, so this is a MUST SEE! M-Dot’s lyrics will not disappoint and the 360° Technology and multi-person replication are visually intriguing enough to make you watch it a few times.

Directed & Edited by Victor Keys, the 360 video places you in the drivers seat for a new interactive viewer experience. You can see different M-Dots in different parts of the video, spitting the verses, based on which way you manuever the controls. It’s fun, try it out for yourself!

M-Dot – “Shine” ft. Method Man, Dominique Larue, Katy Gun

The Wu-Tang’s Method Man doesn’t do many features.  The only recent one I know of is Load Luxx’s single “Rite” which featured both Method Man and Redman. So I was curious to hear this single “Shine” from the Boston MC M-Dot also featuring Dominique Larue, with California producer Soulplusmind on the boards and New York vocalist Katy Gunn on the hook. The results add up as the track is a banger. Meth sets the tone making this official tissue, followed by Dominique Larue who spazzes lyrically and M-Dot bats clean up with a killer verse to wrap things up. Katy Gun nails the chorus, so what else is left? This is a dope record. And no need for a “radio edit” as not one of the MC’s on this have any profanity in their verse.

“Shine” is off of M-Dot’s two part debut album “Ego and the Enemy” (in stores sometime in 2015). What’s finished of the album has production by Hi-Tek, Marley Marl, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, and 7L so far.
