Kendrick Lamar What You Say (Live)

Screen Shot 2014-12-17 at 4.34.00 PM King Kendrick stopped by the Colbert Report to rock a brand new song as the shows last musical guest before Colbert becomes the new host of Late Night as David Lettermans successor. Backed by a group of superstar musicians in their own right: singers Anna Wise Bilal, Thundercat on bass and Terrence Martin on sax, hip hops trojan horse continues to show his conscious and political sides on the untitled track now being called “What you say“. K Dots reign over hip hop with his first album got everyone to pay attention, lets hope people continue to listen now that he has even more to say.

Justin Timberlake TKO (BLACK FRIDAY REMIX) FT. J. COLE, ASAP ROCKY & PUSHA T

Justin-Timberlake-TKO-REMIX
On Black friday JT dropped the remix to his chart climbing TKO off his new album “20/20 Experience – 2 of 2“, featuring 3 of todays biggest and brightest hip hop stars J. COLE, ASAP ROCKY & PUSHA T (MY NAME IS MY NAME” IS ALBUM OF THE YEAR SON!) I digress…on this remix Justin plays the back and lets the MC’s get busy and busy they did get, Pusha did his thing, ASAP spit the best i think I’ve ever heard him and J.Cole offered a comedic yet lyrically sound response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse spazing on his girl for having the verse on her phone. check out the song and J.Coles verse below.

Cole to the rescue, never save a ho
Hoes like to hide their behavior though
Thought you was a down ass bitch
‘Til I found that shit a couple days ago
I was home alone, next thing I know
That long as verse from a song called “Control” was on
The room got nearer, the tune got clearer
That’s when I seen the shit playin’ on your phone
Girl, what is that? A ringtone?
Shit, not you too
Man, that hype done got you too
Everybody and their momma gassed,
Even my momma asked what I’mma do
Decisions, decisions
In case this is war, then I load up on all ammunition
If a nigga want problems, my trigger’s on auto
I’ll make sure that nobody miss him
Now pack up your shit, you don’t believe in me
I don’t need you, I got me, bitch
Same nigga moved to NYC, bitch
Got a record deal and a college degree, bitch
Two gold plaques, I produced all the tracks
And I never ever ever lean on Jay Z, bitch
And after all that achievement
Real nigga never even went and got his teeth fixed
Now you try to play me, bitch?
I’ll knock your ass out

David Dallas – Runnin’ [Official Video]

Duck Down Music was founded on Brooklyn spitters from the Bootcamp Click (BCC), but David Dallas’s new album, ‘Falling Into Place,’  which dropped on Oct 22nd, went #1 on New Zealand iTunes first and is now picking up steam in North America. This is the video for the lead single “Runnin”, which is now a sports anthem due to placements on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, FIFA 14 Soundtrack, Madden 25 trailer, Major League Baseball’s postseason coverage, and NFL Thursday Night Kick-Off.

David Dallas Falling Into PlaceThe video, directed by Tom Gould, captures beautiful outdoor scenes of what I assume is the New Zealand countryside.

When Eminem comes to New Zealand for the first time ever, for his concert at Auckland’s iconic outdoor Western Springs Stadium, David Dallas will be opening for him, along with performances by Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, so his future is looking real bright right now.

If you like the video/single, you can stream the whole album at Billboard.com and purchase the single here: http://smarturl.it/Runnin.

Who’s the new kid? Isaiah Rashad – I Shot You Down X Rmx f Jay Rock & ScHoolboy Q

Screen Shot 2013-10-21 at 5.43.20 PMBy now I’m sure you all saw the BET cypha show (seriously, they gave out like..2 awards) and the verbal murder K.Dot and his TDE crew laid down. But I saw that coming, so what I wanted to know was “Hey, who’s the new kid?” That would be Isaiah Rashad the newest signee of TDE. Hailing from Tennessee the southern MC strangely fits right in with the west coast crew. Check out his video “I shot you down” and the RMX ft. his new partners in rhyme Jay Rock & ScHoolboy Q. not much out there fucking with these guys right now….

Big Sean – Control f. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica (prod. No I.D.)

one-of-these-things-is-not-like-the-others
I like how Big Sean JUST did an interview about how he is upset he’s not considered as one of the best in the game and has never been eaten on any track and then gets cannibalized by this K.DOT verse. sheesh! How you put a gun to the head of the dude who’s song it is like that? and then make Elec look completely irrelevant right after that? sheesh! btw I thought the pic was fitting….
EDIT: they took down the first link so…..
