SLAUGHTERHOUSE: Glass House [download] + Tour Info

Slaughterhouse is backFor the title of this next album, Slaughterhouse is sticking’ to the script, the “house” metaphor. They had Slaughterhouse, On The House and Welcome to: Our House. Sonically, their formula is simple: hard beats with four of the most lyrical wordsmiths each trying to outdo one another non every track. With the exception of “Goodbye” off of Our House in 2012, which was about loss of a loved one (remix featuring Fat Joe dedicated to Chris Lighty), for the most part, the quartet’s content has been 1 part street, 1 part slick pimp sh-t, 2 parts extra lyrical bravado.

But now on this new album, ‘Glass House‘, due out later this year, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz – are going to get personal. Crooked I told VIBE in a recent interview:

“We were going through different things personally in our life and it just shines through the music,” said Crooked. “That’s what’s going to make it relatable to the fan. It’s everyday struggles, everyday pain, everyday obstacles. You’re going to go through a journey when you listen to this album.”

Glass House will be executive produced by Just Blaze, but that doesn’t mean he is handling all the production. Just has recruited J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Cardiak, AraabMuzik and Illmind already and it is rumored DJ Premier may contribute to the album as well.

Slaughterhouse is currently on their Glass House Tour. I dare you to throw stones!!

Mobb Deep – Say Something Produced By !llmind

Friend to MCMI, producer !llmind is always known for that heat. Whether he is producing something for underground spitters like Skyzoo, veteran artists like Redman, or 50 Cent and G-Unit, you know your head is going to nod if it says “produced by !llmind” on it. So Mobb Deep – Say Something produced by !llmind, off of the Queens duo’s new album The Infamous Mobb Deep, is a treat we are happy to share with you.

The Infamous Mobb DeepThis is their second single (the first was “Taking You Off Here”) off of their new album, which celebrates the 20-year anniversary of their classic effort The Infamous. The double-disc LP contains new joints and all of the classics from the original LP, plus extra content from their original studio sessions.

Over the years, on wax battles with other major artists, beef, jail bids and reported internal differences have not stopped Mobb Deep from consistently releasing classic material. Throw on any album of theirs, from any era, and you are sure to find bangers that make you wanna “rock that sh*t, that real life sh*t,” ’cause “when my n*ggaz step in the place
damn, you gotta luv it.”

Listen to the joint, then head over to Amazon to support this classic Hip Hop group’s newest effort.

SKYZOO “Give It Up” (feat. DJ Prince) [Audio]

give it up (cover art) Give It Up (Feat. Dj Prince) (Prod. by !llmind) by Skyzoo
Produced by !llmind (Kanye West, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Scarface), Skyzoo drops his latest single, “Give It Up”, featuring DJ Prince. This beat is crazy, pairing the demanding drone of a grimy dubstep bass-line, with 808s and drumline patterns, a staple of !llmind’s new signature “boom-trap” sound, (listen to Kanye West & G.O.O.D. Music’s “The Morning” on the Cruel Summer album).

The ablum, A Dream Deferred, features Jill Scott, Freeway, Talib Kweli, Raheem Devaughn and more, and has tracks produced by !llmind, Jahlil Beats, 9th Wonder and Black Milk, to name a few. A Dream Deferred drops on October 2nd, on Sky’s newly formed label The Faculty Inc./Duck Down Music.

PH – One Shot, One Kill (Response To Frank Stacks Diss Track)

As Most of you know I was dissed by an artist who goes by the name of Frank Stacks. He took offense to a line in a battle I did against his bestie Dirtbag Dan I did explain that it was more of a play on words than dissing him. He had fair warning this will be the only track that I will put out addressing him One Shot, One Kill Over the Illmind Track that was recently used by 50 cent for Pop The Trunk on his Gangsta Grillz The Lost Tape Because I refuse to waste an original beat on “TRASH RAPPERS” . Emilio Rojas – Champion

Emilio Rojas
brings us another deep video which I guarantee will leave you lost in thought by the time the credits roll. The topic is one many can relate to. The solution is everyone’s fantasy (or is that just me, heh heh). Emilio’s flow is working overtime, even as he stays on message. Very skillfully done, from the beat to the lyrics to the video.
